As part of Bob Evans' Farm-Fresh Refresh restaurant revitalization program, the Milford Bob Evans celebrated a grand re-opening on Sunday, Dec. 8 to showcase its interior and exterior improvements, as well as a new line of baked goods.
Milford’s Bob Evans restaurant was recently closed for seven days to revamp its location with a farm fresh interior, revitalized exterior and new bakery section.
According to a corporate press release, the Farm-Fresh Refresh restaurant revitalization program started with its Ohio locations, and the last two of Delaware’s seven Bob Evans locations, Middletown and Bear, will be completed by spring 2014.
In addition to refreshing the restaurant, this program also benefits the local community by utilizing local companies for the $200,000-plus construction project, like plumbers, cleaning services, laborers, electricians and HVA professionals, said Bob Evans local Area Coach Steven Hoover.
“We call it a refresh, but it’s not just about the painting, it’s about the people, too,” Hoover said. Part of the program also includes retraining of current employees.
The store’s old equipment, like tables and chairs, were donated to local chapters of Habitat for Humanity.
