A 38-year-old Harrington man, identified as Kenneth T. Fisher, was arrested Nov. 19 after allegedly choking and hitting a victim during a domestic dispute, police said.
A 38-year-old Harrington man was arrested Nov. 19 after allegedly choking and hitting a victim during a domestic dispute.
The incident occurred at a residence in the unit block of Cozy Court in Harrington, where officers responded to a domestic dispute in progress shortly before 8 p.m., said Harrington Police Department spokesman Lt. Earl Brode.
When officers arrived, they contacted the victim and the suspect, identified as 38-year-old Harrington resident Kenneth T. Fisher, as well as an 8-year-old witness, Brode said.
Officers discovered that Fisher and the victim were involved in a verbal argument, during which Fisher began choking the victim and hitting the victim in the face, Brode said.
The victim sustained minor injuries but refused medical treatment, Brode said.
Fisher was taken into custoday and processed at the Harrington Police Department
Fisher was charged with strangulation, third-degree assault and endangering the welfare of a child. He was arraigned via video phone at Justice of the Peace Court 2 and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution after failing to post $8,000 secured bond.
