  • Police: Jogger mugged at gunpoint in Middletown neighborhood

  • A 44-year-old Middletown man was reportedly robbed at gunpoint while jogging in the Longmeadow neighborhood late Sunday afternoon.

  • A 44-year-old Middletown man was reportedly robbed at gunpoint while jogging in the Longmeadow neighborhood late Sunday afternoon, according to police.
    The man was running in the area of Sweethollow Drive about 5:20 p.m. when two men – including one who was armed with a handgun – stopped him demanded valuables, according to Middleton Police Lt. Michael Iglio.
    The victim turned over an iPod and the muggers fled the area on foot, he said.
    The victim was not injured.
    Police are now asking for the public's help in identifying the assailants.
    Both of the men are described as black, between the ages of 19 and 21, about 5'10" and roughly 200 pounds.
    The armed mugger had a goatee and was last seen wearing a black-hooded sweatshirt and denim pants.
    His accomplice was last seen wearing a white hooded-sweatshirt and had a white scarf pulled over his face, police said.
