Two Milford women were arrested by the Milford Police Department on Oct. 22 in connection with an incident that occurred on Sept. 12 in which a 22-year-old female victim was allegedly assaulted and robbed.
The incident occurred at approximately 10:45 p.m. On Sept. 12 in the 100 block of Lovers Lane in Milford where the victim drove two women, identified as 24-year-old Tiffany Gainey and 32-year-old Orlandra Burris.
According to Milford Police Department spokesperson Tiffany Wyant, the victim parked the car on Lovers Lane while Burris went to retrieve something from a nearby residence. Gainey then assaulted the victim while still in the car, threatened her with a box cutter and forced the victim to surrender all of her money, Wyant said.
The women then both fled on foot and were later arrested by the Milford Police Department Patrol Division on Oct. 22, Wyant said.
Both Gainey and Burris were charged with first-degree robbery, aggravated menacing, second-degree conspiracy and offensive touching. Gainey was also charged with possession of a deadly weapon. Both were also issued a no-contact order with the alleged victim.
Gainey was committed to Baylor Women's Correctional Facility in lieu of $23,500 cash-only bail.
Burris was committed to Baylor Women's Correctional Facility in lieu of $13,500 cash-only bond.
