  • A 20-year-old Dover man wanted in connection with multiple Milford-area thefts was arrested by U.S. Marshals with the assistance of the Milford Police Department on Sept. 26.
The suspect, Ronnier Elmore, was arrested at a residence in the 200 block of S.E. 2nd Street for his connection with two separate theft incidents that occurred at Walmart and Wawa on July 5, as well as an armed robbery that occurred at a business in the 200 block of Rehoboth Boulevard on June 23, said Milford Police Department spokesman Det. Dwight Young.
Investigation revealed that during the incident on June 23, Elmore, along with two other suspects, entered a business in the 200 block of N. Rehoboth Boulevard and brandished a handgun. The suspects assaulted two clerks, and Elmore struck the deli clerk several times with the handgun, Young said.
Elmore and the other two suspects forced the front counter clerk to open the store safe and register, from which Elmore and the other two suspects removed a large amount of money along with the wallet of one of the clerks. All three suspects then fled the store on foot, Young said.
In addition, Elmore was also wanted two times out of KCCP, two times out of Justice of the Peace Court 2 and Justice of the Peace Court 6 on unrelated warrants, Young said.
For his alleged involvement with the robbery at 200 N. Rehoboth Blvd., Elmore was charged with two counts of first-degree robbery, three counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by person prohibited, second-degree assault, three counts of aggravated menacing, tampering with physical evidence, second-degree conspiracy, second-degree unlawful imprisonment, third-degree assault, terroristic threatening and criminal mischief under $1,000.
On July 5, Elmore and two other suspects, identified as 19-year-old Dover resident Jamichael Peck and 19-year-old Bridgeville resident Sawndale Auguste, allegedly used a stolen credit card to purchase merchandise at Walmart and Wawa on multiple occasions, Young said.
For his alleged involvement with the Walmart and Wawa thefts, Elmore was charged with identity theft, third-degree forgery, second-degree conspiracy, two counts of unlawful use of a credit card and receiving stolen property under $1,500.
Elmore was arraigned and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution in default of $346,000 secured bond total.
