The 2013 Special Olympics Cycling Classic will be held at the Air Mobility Command Museum at Dover Air Force Base from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14.
Special Olympics is the world's largest sports organization for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, providing year-round training and competitions to more than four million athletes in 170 countries.
This is the fourth consecutive year the competition has been held at the museum, and more than 100 personnel from the base will be on hand to volunteer. They will be assisting as time keepers, route guides and with parking at the event.
Access to the event is via Route 9, south of the base. Military identification is not required to visit the museum.
