  • A 42-year-old Bridgeville man was arrested by the Milford Police Department Aug. 30 after the suspect tried to take his 2-year-old child from a Milford residence.
Milford Police spokesman Det. Dwight Young said the suspect, Clifford L. Fowler, went to a residence in Lassen Court in the Cascades Development to take his 2-year-old child, who was with a 22-year-old female at the residence. When the female victim answered the door, Fowler pushed her away, entered the residence and attempted to take the child, Young said.
Fowler was unsuccessful and fled the residence, Young said.
Fowler was later arrested by Milford Police on a nearby street. He was charged with second-degree burglary, endangering the welfare of a child and offensive touching.
Fowler also had active warrants out of various courts, Young said. He was arraigned and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution in default of a $7,000 secured bond.
