Season Outlook: The Eastern Shore Bucks have already begun their 2013 season, and as expected there have been some rough patches already. The Bucks have fallen to 0-2 in their inaugural season, but they did schedule their toughest two opponents of the season first. With the inexperience of the squad, taking time to gel as a team is expected. And for right now, the Bucks are simply looking for improvement from week-to-week, not necessarily wins. Over the past two games, the Bucks have seen some improvement on both ends of the ball. They’ve shown the ability to produce drives on offense, but have yet to master finishing them. On defense, the Bucks have proven that they have a team full of sure tacklers, and are focused on their assignments and being in the right place. Everyone in the Bucks program is learning on the fly, and as the season progresses we’re bound to see some improvements. The Bucks will be back in action on Saturday afternoon against Frederick County Homeschool.
Coach’s Quote: “Our expectations for the season are to continue to get better each week,” said Eastern Shore Bucks Head Coach Dan Young. “In terms of wins and loses I think we will get a few W’s. How many depends on how quickly our guys catch on. We have athletes, but ninety-five percent of them are brand new to high school football so we’ve got that as an obstacle.”
