  • A 30-year-old Milford man was arrested Aug. 16 by the Milford Police Department following a report of a disorderly male armed with a baseball bat in Bicentennial Park in downtown Milford.
Upon contact, the disorderly male provided police with a false name, but was later identified as 30-year-old man Antoine Sturgis, said police spokesman Det. Dwight Young.
Police investigation revealed that Sturgis attempted to strike a male victim with a baseball bat during a verbal dispute in Bicentennial Park, Young said.
Sturgis was charged with aggravated menacing, possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony, criminal mischief and disorderly conduct.
Sturgis also had an active warrant from Delaware State Police Troop 4 for an unrelated incident.
He was arraigned and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution in default of a $5,600 secured bond.
