  • The Harrington Police Department is searching for an unidentified black male involved with an armed robbery that occurred at the Dollar General located in the Midway Shopping Center in Harrington.
The suspect is an unidentified black male in his late teens or early 20s, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs between 170 to 180 pounds, said police department spokesman Lt. Earl Brode. The suspect was last seen wearing a white hat, white sunglasses, a dark-colored shirt with paint on it, tan pants and sneakers.
Around 3 p.m. July 20, patrol officers responded to the Dollar General for a robbery in progress, Brode said. During the investigation, officers determined that the suspect displayed a black handgun after entering the store and demanded cash and cell phones from all patrons present. After obtaining the items, the suspect fled the store on foot toward South DuPont Highway.
