Bayhealth's first class of emergency department fellows received its certificates after 20 weeks of hands-on patient care, classroom time, and several experiences in the hospital.
These nurses include: Steven Biesterfeld, ADN, RN; Nichole Gallaher, ADN, RN; Chelsea Johnson, BSN, RN; Crisa Rawling, ADN, RN; Lydia Royer, BSN, RN; Brittany Schorr, BSN, RN; Brenda Shannon, ADN, RN.
At the graduation ceremony, Patricia Fuller, MBA, MEd, RN, CEN, NE-BC, director of emergency and trauma services praised the graduates' dedication and welcomed them to the emergency and trauma team.
"As long as you're a part of nursing, you need to have a desire to learn. You'll continue to grow in your profession and learn more than you expect. This is a great team, and we are happy that you're a part of it, " Fuller said.
The next group of fellows is expected to graduate in fall 2013.
