Milford Police on July 16 arrested Antonio E. White, 31, of Frederica, following a domestic dispute in the parking lot of a local business.
The incident took place June 24, said police spokesman Det. Dwight Young. Police arrived at the business after receiving a call about a robbery in progress, but after contacting a 37-year-old woman, determined it was instead a domestic incident. White already had fled the scene along with two other women, Young said.
Police discovered White had gone to the business with the other women and that a verbal altercation had started between them and the victim. During this time, White allegedly pulled a handgun and pointed it at the woman; he then walked away as other women began to assault the victim.
Young said White was apprehended at the Kent County Court of Common pleas when authorities there noticed he was wanted in connection with the June 24 incident. White was charged with carrying a concealed deadly weapon (firearm), possession of a firearm by person prohibited and aggravated menacing. He was released on a $13,000 unsecured bond.
The victim in this case did not receive medical treatment, and the investigation is continuing, Young said. It is possible an additional arrest may be made, he added.
