A Milford man was arrested by the Milford Police Department on July 10 after turning himself in as the suspect in a domestic dispute that occurred earlier the same day.
According to police, officers responded to a residence in Silver Lake Estates Apartments in Milford around 4 a.m. on July 10 and entered the residence after hearing extremely loud yelling and screaming. Upon entry police found that a 23-year-old female had been struck several times and the 27-year-old male suspect, identified as Bruce E. Worthy, Jr., fled into a room and locked the door.
The female victim became irate and hostile toward police as they attempted to get Worthy out of the locked room. Worthy jumped out of the second-story window and fled on foot.
Worthy was previously banned from the property due to a prior domestic dispute.
The female victim refused to cooperate with police and did not receive medical treatment.
Worthy turned himself into the Milford Police later that same day and was charged with resisting arrest, harassment, offensive touching and second-degree criminal trespass. Worthy refused medical treatment for minor injuries sustained during the incident. Worthy was arraigned through Justice of the Peace Court 2 and released on a $2,000 unsecured bond.
