The Biggs Museum of American Art will debut the exhibition Currier and Ives: Legacy of the American Spirit today in conjunction with the downtown Dover Fourth of July celebrations.
"Currier and Ives prints depict some of America's favorite pastimes, which is why an opening on Independence Day is a perfect fit," said Biggs Curator Ryan Grover. "This exhibition will entertain audiences of all ages and we encourage families in the area to take advantage of this opportunity to seen these renowned prints that tell important stories about.
Visitors of the exhibition are also encouraged to stop into the Child HELP studio and make their own American flags to celebrate American's independence.
The Biggs Museum, located in Dover, will extend its hours and stay open today from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. The exhibit ends Sept. 14.
