  • The Sussex County Habitat for Humanity (SCHFH) and chief executive officers from Bayhealth Milford Memorial, Beebe Medical Center, and Nanticoke Health Services will break ground together for two new homes at 9 a.m. July 10 on Linden Avenue in Georgetown Point.
Both mothers of the families who will occupy these homes are employed in the health care industry. Habitat begins every build with a special ceremony in which the overall project is blessed. Employees from all three health care institutions will volunteer and help build these homes over the next months. The three hospital CEOs will return Aug. 3 for a special build day to demonstrate their personal commitment to this new partnership with Habitat.
The public is welcome to attend the project blessing.
