Milford High School graduate, Amber Andrews, continues to excel in softball and in the college classroom.
Andrews just completed her junior year at the University of Hartford, Connecticut, where she has started and played in every game for the Hawks for all last three years.
Andrews ended the 2013 year with a .224 batting average, with an on-base average of .355.She started and played all 55 games where she led the team again with 30 runs scored and 11 stolen bases. Andrews was named to the American East Conference All-Academic Team for a second time.
In her sophomore year she ended the season with a .267 batting average with an on-base percentage of .369.She lead the team in runs scored, 30 and stolen 11 bases.She started and played all 53 games.Off the field, she earned a 3.72 GPA in her major of early childhood education.In 2012 she was named to the American East Conference All-Academic Team.
A 2010 MHS graduate, Andrews played shortstop and second base for four years and was on the team that won the state championship in 2009.
