  • Two Milford men were arrested on May 24 after they allegedly stole copper from a Montgomery Street residence.
    According to the Milford Police Department, police responded to Montgomery Street for a report of a theft. Police said the two suspects, Duran Fowler and Peter Burton, both 20 years old, were located nearby, trying to sell the copper they had allegedly stolen.
    Police said the two were linked to another recent copper theft.
    Police said both suspects were charged with two counts of second degree burglary, two counts of second degree conspiracy, two counts of criminal mischief under $1,500, theft under $1,500, and theft over $1,500. Fowler was charged with an additional count of theft by false pretense.
    Police said Fowler and Burton were committed to Sussex Correctional Institute in lieu of $17,00 and $18,500 secured bond, respectively.
