  • Officers with the Milford Police Department have arrested a Harrington man after he allegedly threatened a local woman.
James K. Lewis, 20, was taken into custody May 20, said department spokesman Det. Dwight Young.
The incident began May 18 when officers investigated a report that Lewis had been in a domestic incident with the 20-year-old woman at an address on Cedar Beach Road. Lewis allegedly had grabbed the woman by the neck and arm and dragged her off a porch, Young said. When she escaped and locked herself in the house, Lewis allegedly threatened to come back with a gun, Young added.
Police contacted Lewis as he was parking his car at the same home two days later; he was arrested following a brief struggle with officers.
Young was charged with second-degree attempted burglary, terroristic threatening, menacing, offensive touching, disorderly conduct, second-degree criminal trespass and resisting arrest.
He was ordered held at the Sussex Correctional Institution, Georgetown, in default of a $11,400 secured bond.
