  • Milford Police have charged a former Milford man with failing to register as a convicted sex offender after the man was extradited from Texas.
Aroldo Rodriguez, 36, is a Tier II, or moderate risk, sex offender, said Milford Police Department spokesman Det. Dwight Young. He had fled the area in 2006 and had not been seen since, Young added.
Rodriguez was convicted in January 1996 of unlawful sexual intercourse where the victim was between the ages of 12 and 15.
Also wanted on a fugitive warrant out of Kent County Superior Court, Rodriguez was charged May 15 with a single count of failure to register as a sex offender.
He was jailed at the Sussex Correctional Institution, Georgetown, in default of a $700 secured bond.
