  • An 18-year-old Milford man was transported to Milford Memorial Hospital on May 16 after he attempted to cross Bay Road outside of a crosswalk and was struck by a vehicle.
According to the Delaware State Police, 53-year-old Anthony P. Smith of Magnolia was operating a 2013 Hyndai Accent around 10:15 p.m. southbound in the left land of Bay Road approaching Williamsburg Drive north of Milford. Police said Brandon A. Williams was attempting to cross the southbound lanes of traffic from the center median and he was struck by the Accent in the left lane.
Police said Williams was removed from the scene by emergency services personnel and was transported to Milford Memorial Hospital where he was admitted with non-life threatening injuries. Police said Williams was cited for crossing at other than a crosswalk and failure to carry a light on a public highway.
Police said Smith and a 16-year-old female passenger in the Accent, who were properly restrained, were not injured in the crash.
