  • Detectives with the Milford Police Department are asking the public's help in gathering information on a recent shooting.
The incident took place at approximately 1:10 a.m. Sunday, May 12, said department spokesman Det. Dwight Young.
Detectives discovered the shooting was the result of an altercation between customers at the Park Place Bar, Young said. During the dispute, an unknown person pulled and discharged a firearm, wounding a 28-year-old man.
The wounded man was taken to Christiana Care Hospital with life-threatening injuries, but at last report was in stable condition, Young said.
The fight apparently escalated outside in the parking lot of the bar and surrounding business parking lots.
Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact either Young or Det. John Horsman by calling (302) 422-8081 or Delaware Crime Stoppers at (800) TIP-3333 or via the Internet at www.tipsubmit.com.
