  • Milford Police have arrested a local man after he turned himself in to authorities.
Emanus Dieudonne, 34, of the 500 block of West St., Milford, surrendered May 3, said police spokesman Det. Dwight Young. Milford Police had been looking for him for several weeks and had said he could have been in the Camden or Dover area.
Dieudonne was arrested in connection with a sexual assault investigation that took place Feb. 22, said Young. Dieudonne allegedly held his 25-year-old victim against her will and then forced her to engage in sexual acts before releasing her. The woman, who suffered minor injuries in the assault, received medical treatment and later was released from the hospital.
Dieudonne was charged with first-degree rape, first-degree unlawful imprisonment, third-degree assault and offensive touching.
He was arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 6, but later released after posting bond.
