  • Georgetown gears up for annual Spring into Spring Festival

  • Georgetown's annual Spring into Spring Festival will be held on May 18 from 1-9 p.m. at The Circle.

  • Georgetown's annual Spring into Spring Festival will be held on May 18 from 1-9 p.m. at The Circle.
    The festival's live entertainment lineup kicks off at 1 p.m. with the First State Force band, which is comprised of law enforcement members from different departments in Delaware. The Cruzers will play from 3-5 p.m., 33 and 1/3 will play from 5-7 p.m., and Funsters will play from 7-9 p.m.
    The 4th Annual Spicer Memorial Car Show will be held in the Courthouse Parking Lot. Registration is from 9-11:30 a.m. and trophy presentations are at 2:30 p.m.
    For the kids, face painting will begin at 3 p.m., Lil' Toot train rides will run from 1-4 p.m., kids fingerprinting will run from 1-3 p.m., and magic shows performed by Brian Boyd will be at 1 p.m., 3 p.m., and 5 p.m.
    Vendors showcasing crafts, antiques, and other goodies will be stationed around The Circle.
    In conjunction with the festival, Arena's at the Airport will hold its grand opening. Free shuttle service will be provided from The Circle to the Georgetown Airport for this event. Arena's at the Airport is a full-service restaurant opening in a completely renovated location.
