A 27-year-old Harrington woman is facing criminal charges after allegedly injuring her 6-year-old child.
Carrie J. Rampmeyer turned herself in to police Feb. 21, just hours detectives were called to Milford Memorial Hospital, where the child was being treated for a neck injuries, Harrington Police Department spokesman Lt. Earl Brode said.
Officers determined Rampmeyer caused the injuries during an incident at a home on Hanley Street, he said.
Rampmeyer is charged with third-degree assault and endangering the welfare of a child.
She was later released on a $3,000 unsecured bond.
The child has since been released from the hospital to the custody of another family member, Brode said.
