A Milford man was arrested last week after reportedly making death threats against state employees at the State Service Center Building.
Anthony E. King was taken into custody Feb. 15 at his home in the 1000 block of Lemuel St., where officers also found multiple shotguns and rifles, despite King being barred from possessing firearms due to a mental condition, according to Milford Police Department spokesman Detective Dwight Young.
In a release issued Feb. 20, Young said King had threatened to kill everyone in the Milford Annex of the Division of State Service Centers at 13 Southwest Front St. after being denied benefits.
King also reportedly told family members that he intended to kill them and himself, Young said.
Messages left with the Milford Annex have not been returned.
Young said police have not determined how King acquired the weapons.
King is charged with possession of a firearm by a person prohibited and terroristic threatening.
He is being held at the Sussex Correctional Institution in Georgetown in default of an $11,000 secured bond, Young said.
