  • Two women are facing criminal charges after stealing items from Harrington stores in a pair of unrelated incidents.
Virginia A Potzer, a 42-year-old Lincoln resident, turned herself in to police on Friday to face theft and conspiracy charges stemming from an incident on Jan. 10 in which she allegedly took items from an unidentified store in the 17000 block of South Dupont Highway.
Potzer, who also was wanted on a warrant issued by Kent County Court of Common Pleas, was later released on a $2,175 unsecured bond.
Christina M. Mohor, a 19-year-old Harrington resident, was arrested Saturday after loading a shopping cart with groceries at an unidentified store in the Liberty Plaza Shopping Center and then attempting to leave without paying, Harrington Police Department spokesman Lt. Earl Brode said.
Mohor was detained by store employees until police arrived and took her into custody.
Mohor also was wanted on an active warrant issued by Sussex County Family Court, Brode said.
She was issued a criminal summons for shoplifting and released pending a future court appearance, he said.
