An asteroid about the length of half a football field will fly near Earth today, but don’t worry, scientists say, it won’t hit us. "No Earth impact is possible," Don Yeomans of NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory told CNN. Even if this asteroid hit Earth, it wouldn’t cause enough damage to wipe out life as we know it - it would only level an area about two-thirds the size of Rhose Island, CNN said.
