The national movement encourages young people to fight hunger and poverty in their own communities around the Super Bowl.
The children of First Presbyterian at 101 S. Walnut St. used soup pots to collect more than $100 and about 50 pounds of food for donation to the Milford Community Pantry at 20 N. Church St.
After Sunday’s worship service, the church also hosted a pot-luck soup luncheon. Leftovers were frozen and will be delivered to those in need of “soup for the soul.”
