The DNREC will hold a series of informational workshops in February throughout the state to help Delaware businesses and institutions comply with its Jan. 1, 2014 deadline for the Universal Recycling Law.
The Universal Recycling is structured to maximize recycling rates and diversion of waste and support and stimulate job growth and new businesses in Delaware.
DNREC staff will be available at the workshops to provide assistance tailored to businesses and institutions with discussion on legislative requirements, grant funding, commercial recycling toolkits, and local recycling success stories.
The workshop locations, dates and times are:
3:30 to 5:30 p.m., Feb. 13, Appoquinimink Library, 651 Broad St., Middletown.
3 to 4:30 p.m., Feb. 18, DNREC auditorium, 89 Kings Highway, Dover.
3:30 to 5:30 p.m., Feb. 19, Brandywine Hundred Library, 1300 Foulk Road, Wilmington.
3:30 to 5:30 p.m., Feb. 21, Georgetown Library, 123 W. Pine St., Georgetown.
3:30 to 5:30 p.m., Feb. 25, Lewes Library, 111 Adams Ave., Lewes.
