Congressman John Carney in coordination with the Concord Coalition will host a series of interactive public meetings focused on priorities and challenges within the federal budget.
The first meeting will be held from 1 to 2:30 p.m., Jan. 31 at Wesley College's H.B. DuPont College Center on the corner of State and Cecil Streets in Dover. The second meeting will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Jan. 31 at the Delaware Tech Stanton campus, 400 Stanton Christiana Road, Newark.
Participants in these meetings will begin reviewing the spending and priorities in the current federal budget. Attendees will work in small groups of five to 10, and will be given the opportunity to draft their own budget proposal which reflects their ideas for federal spending.
