Actors in Milford have their pick of plumb roles this spring with several fun productions at area theaters.
This weekend in Georgetown, auditions for Possum Point Players' spring musical, "Curtains," will be held at 7 p.m., Sunday and Monday at Possum Hall in Georgetown.
The production calls for a cast of 20 to 30 adults and will be directed by Him Hartzell. Tryouts will consist of a short musical presentation, readings from the script and some dance movement. Those wishing to audition should bring their own music but piano accompaniment will be available. For more information, visit www.possumpointplayers.org.
Next weekend, the Second Street Players will host auditions for "Nunsensations: The Nunsense Vegas Review" at 7 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 3 and Monday, Feb. 4.
The cast calls for five women with strong vocal abilities. Those interested should be prepared to sing an upbeat musical selection a cappella or with their own pre-recorded accompaniment. A cold reading from the script will also be required. For more information, visit www.secondstreetplayers.com.
In Dover, the Kent County Theatre Guild will hold auditions for its next production, "All My Sons" at the Patchwork Playhouse at 7 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 3, Tuesday, Feb. 5 and Wednesday, Feb. 6.
