  • Traffic stop leads to DUI, drug arrests in Harrington

  • A 19-year-old Ellendale woman is facing a DUI charge, while a 19-year-old Milford man is facing drug-related charges following a traffic stop in Harrington on Monday.

  • A 19-year-old Ellendale woman is facing a DUI charge, while a 19-year-old Milford man is facing drug-related charges following a traffic stop in Harrington on Monday.
    Officers stopped a vehicle driven by Catherine M. Lallier on South Dupont Highway for a traffic violation when they reportedly smelled alcohol and marijuana.
    A search of the vehicle turned up four grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, Harrington Police Department spokesman Sgt. Earl K. Brode.
    Lallier is charged with DUI, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving the wrong way on a one-way road and failing to provide a vehicle registration card.
    Her passenger, Jose F. Alvarado, is charged with underage consumption, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
    Lallier and Alvarado each were issued criminal summons and released pending future court appearances.
