  • A 12-year-old boy and a 13-year-old boy are facing criminal charges after allegedly stealing items from offices and lockers at W.T. Chipman Middle School in Harrington.
    The teens, who are brothers that live in Viola, are accused of stealing lunch boxes, cellphones, an iPad and other items while attending the school at 101 W. Center St.
    Each of the children, who were not identified, is charged with five counts of theft under $1,500 and third-degree conspiracy.
    The boys were later released to the custody of their mother, pending a future court appearance in Kent County Family Court, according to a spokesman for the Harrington Police Department.
