  • A man and a woman from Milford were among four people injured in a single-car crash near Camden early Wednesday morning.
Milford resident Matthew D. Givens and his three passengers – a 21-year-old Milford woman, a 21-year-old Harrington woman and a 23-year-old woman from Warrington, Va. – all were treated for non-life-threatening injuries at Kent General Hospital in Dover, police said. The three passengers have not been identified.
According to state police, the crash occurred on South Dupont Highway, just south of Lochmeath Way, about 2:08 a.m. when the 2011 Dodge Nitro that Givens was driving left the west side of the roadway and struck a street sign.
The vehicle continued south and struck a curb, causing it to become airborne. The vehicle then landed on its front bumper flipped before striking a tree on the passenger’s side and coming to rest on its roof.
Police said alcohol is believed to have been a factor in the crash. Charges are pending.
Southbound Dupont Highway was closed for about two hours while police investigated the crash and cleared the scene.
