A 23-year-old Greenwood man was arrested Thursday in connection with the theft of a pole from a Milford gas station in October, according to police.
Bradley A. Herd allegedly pushed and pulled a handicapped gas pump buzzer pole at a Royal Farms gas station at 566 S. Dupont Highway on Oct. 28 until he was able to break it free from its foundation.
He then placed the entire pole in his vehicle and drove away, according to a release issued by the Milford Police Department on Saturday.
Police did not provide any information about where Herd was arrested or how they connected him to the crime.
Herd is charged with theft under $1,500 and criminal mischief under $1,000.
He later was released on a $1,000 unsecured bond, police said.
