  • Milford-area resident George Ehrmann recently became the first certified patient advocate for Bayhealth, which operates Milford Memorial Hospital and Kent General Hospital in Dover.
In his new position, Ehrmann will help patients and their families navigate the complex health care system to ensure they receive the best care possible.
“My favorite part of this job is the interaction I have with patients, their families and our staff,” he said. “My ultimate goal is to exceed everyone’s needs.”
A Bayhealth employee for nearly nine years, Ehrmann previously was the guest services agent at Milford Memorial, where he greeted and assisted patients, visitors, employees and physicians when they entered the hospital’s main lobby.
In 2010, Ehrmann completed the Alfus Patient Advocacy Certification Program through the University of Miami’s Division of Continuing & International Education.
He serves on several Bayhealth employee committees and provides Service Excellence training to new employees during their orientation.
