  • Police used a stungun to subdue a Lincoln man Sunday while breaking up a fight outside the Pelican Bar & Grille.
Scott C. Stapleford, 47, was Tasered after refusing to comply with the verbal commands of officers who were attempting to break up the fight in the Pelican Bar & Grille parking lot at 200 N.E. Front St. about 9:20 p.m., Milford Police Department spokesman Detective Dwight Young said in a release issued Wednesday.
Police later learned Stapleford and two other men began fighting after all three exited the bar.
One of the men threw another through a plate glass window at the neighboring Delaware Fitness Center, prior to Stapleford's involvement in the melee, police said.
The two unidentified combatants both received medical treatment for injuries suffered during the altercation, while Stapleford was uninjured, police said.
Stapleford is charged with disorderly conduct, criminal mischief and resisting arrest.
He later was released on a $1,000 unsecured bond, police said.
