  • A Georgetown man was arrested Sunday in connection with the weekend shooting of a Harbeson-area man, while two other suspects at large, according to police.
Jarrel H. Flowers, 25, turned himself in to police at Troop 4 in Georgetown after detectives determined he was involved in the shooting on Nika Lane, near Martins Farm Road, a Delaware State Police spokesman said.
Flowers is charged with robbery, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and conspiracy. He is being held at the Sussex Correctional Institution on a $42,000 cash bond.
Police are currently searching for Flowers' alleged accomplices, 24-year-old Lewes resident Teveya W. Brittingham and 22-year-old Greenwood resident Mark A. Phillips, who reportedly pulled the trigger.
Phillips is charged with first-degree attempted murder and possession of a weapon by a person prohibited, while both men also are facing robbery, weapon possession and conspiracy charges.
Police discovered the 23-year-old victim after being called to the home at about 1:20 a.m. Sunday morning.
The victim, who has not been identified, was taken to an unidentified hospital, where he underwent surgery to treat "several" gunshot wounds to the lower extremities. Police said his injuries were not life-threatening.
Anyone with information about the shooting or the whereabouts of Phillips and Brittingham is asked to call Delaware State Police at (302) 856-5850, ext. 206 or Delaware Crime Stoppers at (800) TIP-3333.
