The Delaware law enforcement officers statewide arrested 15 individuals for driving under the influence of alcohol and/ or drugs last weekend.
The arrests were the result of three sobriety checkpoints. There have been more than 4,000 DUI arrests made statewide since January. In addition to the DUI arrests, officers cited one minor underage drinking violation; apprehended three wanted individuals; made six drug arrests; issued five seat belt citations; issued 46 citations for various other traffic violations.
Three sobriety checkpoints are scheduled to occur on Oct. 26 and 27: Wilmington (DSP) and Georgetown (multi-jurisdictional effort), Friday; Wilmington (NcCO DUI task force), Halloween Loop; Saturday. For more information, visit www.ohs.delaware.gov
