Naomi Lee Renzi passed away in her sleep on Thursday, October 4, 2012. She was 95 years old and lived with her daughter and son-in-law, Lee and Charles Breslin of Rising Sun, MD.
Mrs. Renzi was born and raised in Wilmington. She retired from the Wilmington School District food service. She was a cafeteria manager for Mary C.I. Williams and George Gray Junior High School. She was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Wilmington, the St. Thomas Senior Center, and the Clarence Fraim Senior Center where she chaired several committees. Mrs. Renzi spent all of her summers in Slaughter Beach, DE. She also traveled extensively around the world.
In addition to her parents, Elmer and Louisa (Lee) McQuay, Mrs. Renzi was preceded in death by her husband, Louis J. Renzi Sr., who passed away in 1984. She is survived by her daughter, Lee Breslin and her husband Charles of Rising Sun, MD; son, Louis “Butch” Renzi Jr. and his wife Shirley of Lincoln, DE; 6 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 4th and Bancroft in Wilmington, DE, on Tuesday morning, October 9 at 11:30am. Entombment followed in Cathedral Cemetery.
