Milford police arrested three people Saturday in unrelated cases involving shoplifting, theft and child sexual assault.
The Milford Police Department on Thursday released the following information about the arrests:
- Derick L. Colon, a 36-year-old Harrington resident, was charged with 31 counts of shoplifting, 31 counts of possession of shoplifting tools and organized retail theft on Saturday after an investigation determined he used tools to remove merchandise from the Milford Walmart Supercenter at 939 North Dupont Blvd. in July and August. Colon is being held at the Sussex Correctional Institution in Georgetown on $10,950 secured bond.
- Jennifer L. Vaughn, a 37-year-old Milford resident, was charged with multiple counts of theft and attempted theft on Saturday after an investigation determined she had removed undisclosed amounts of money from the business deposits of her employer, Halpern Eye Associates at 771 E. Masten Circle, from June 28 to Sept. 4. She was released on a $2,000 unsecured bond.
- Uverclain Dominguez-Espinoza, a 44-year-old Milford resident, was charged with two counts of sexual solicitation of a child, second-degree unlawful sexual contact and endangering the welfare of a child on Saturday after an investigation determined he had sexually assaulted a 13-year-old girl and attempted to convince the child to perform additional sexual acts at a home in the 100 block of Lovers Lane between Feb. 1 and April 22. He is being held at the Sussex Correctional Institution in Georgetown on a $20,000 secured bond.
