Local charity, It's All Good in Delaware, will be raising funds this weekend with a fun-for-all event at Jonathan's Landing this Saturday. Proceeds will go towards the organization's annual holiday food and toy drive.
Local charity, It's All Good in Delaware, has announced plans for an "It's All About Kids" event on Sept. 22, which will raise money for the organization's annual holiday food and toy drive.
The family-friendly event will begin at 12 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 22 at Jonathan's Landing in Magnolia.
It's All Good will offer face painting, crafts, games, costumed characters, temporary tattoos, a visiting fire truck, corn hole games, inflated bouncy play chambers, and a dunking booth. Other highlights include a visit by Annie's Menagerie and Just for Fun and Company, which will be bringing inflatable sumo wrestling suits. Cool 101.3 – with Steve Monz and DJ Spin Docs JC Pressure – will be broadcasting live while local artisans and artists will be featured in the adjacent IAG Artisan Fair. Yet another area will feature a wide assortment of vendors including spa products, candles, home décor, children's crafts and much more.
The goal for this event is to provide families with a fun-filled afternoon and to use the proceeds to create a holiday season that less fortunate children will never forget.
Food, snacks and beverages, including wine and beer, will also be available. Admission is $7, with no admission fee for children younger than 3 years old.
IAG President Lynn Kriss said that her organization is having a fantastic year, thanks to the generosity of so many donations.
"So far this year, IAG has been able to assist several families experiencing medical issues with living expenses," Kriss said.
Kriss also reports that the 4th Annual You Deserve A Night Out, which was held at the Dover Sheraton in April, turned out to be a successful fundraiser. In June, IAG was awarded a Kay's Camp Friendship Award.
