Mary Touchstone Green, also known as Mom-Mom Mary to many, age 86 passed away on Saturday, September 1, 2012.
Mary was born on June 11, 1926 in Chester, Pennsylvania to the late John and Louisa Touchstone. After moving to Delaware at young age with her family Felton became her home for the rest of her life.
She was employed by Latex in Dover, Russel Torbert's Grocery Store in Felton, the Shirt Factories in Harrington and retired from JCPenney at the Blue Hen Mall.
She was preceded in death by per parents and her husband William (Biddie) Green.
She is survived by her daughters Marilyn Alexander and her husband David of Millsboro Brenda Wootten and her husband Wally of Felton. Her sister Aldolphine (Dot) Godwin of Milford.
Her loving grandsons Jonathan Alexander of Millsboro and Joshua Wootten and his wife Angela of Felton. Her God daughter Carole Hammond of Felton. Also survived by her special nieces Kathleen (Ricky) Woikoski and JoAnn Morris. Her nephews Bill Green, Jack Godwin and Mitch Godwin.
Mary loved Life and People she had numerous extended family, The Wyatt Children, The Killen family and the Starkey girls. We can't forget her Special Friends and her very Special Neighbors.
She was a Lifetime Member of the Felton Fire Co Ladies Auxiliary. She will be remembered for her smile and her heart full of love.
A very special Thank You to Dr. Wagner, the Staff of the Heritage of Milford and the Staff of Milford Centre for the Special care that was given to our Mother and Grandmother during these difficult weeks.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that contributions be made to the Felton Fire Co.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, September 6, 2012 with visitation for friends and family from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, at Melvin's Funeral Home, 15522 S DuPont Hwy, Harrington DE. Interment will follow at Barratt's Chapel, Frederica, DE.
