  • Michael J. Fry of Milford passed away on Saturday, August 18, 2012.   He was 54.

    Michael was born on February 25, 1958 in Milford.   He was a graduate of Milford High School “Class of 1976”.   

    He was employed at Fry Farms, Inc., a family poultry, grain and vegetable operation and the other family business, Milford Bowling Lanes.

    He is an active member of the Cedarfield Ruritan Club. He currently serves as treasurer on the board at Milford Grain and current chairman of Kent County Farm Service Agency (FSA) Committee and past member of the board of directors at Southern States Milford Co-op.

    Mike’s interests included bowling, hunting, collecting and refurbishing antiques.  He was a “Jack of all Trades” and could fix anything.

    Mike’s passion was working for Fry Farms, Inc. and spending time with his loving family.   His untimely passing will be felt immensely throughout the farming community.

    Mike leaves behind his devoted wife of 33 years, Selena Fry; his adoring daughters, Erin and friend Dan McGinnes and Jennifer.  He also is survived by his loving parents, Doris and Ernie Fry; brother and sister-in-law, Jeff and Karen Fry, sister, Judy Killen, nieces and nephews, Jason and his wife Morgan Fry, Chad and his friend, Morgan Anton, Brandy Fry, Katie Killen and Cody Killen, Mother-in-law, Myrna Tiedgen, sister and brother-in-laws, Roxann and Ray Parker, and Starla and Mark Plummer, brother and sister-in-laws, Chris and Tina Mertz and Rick and Kimberly Mertz and nieces and nephews, Dana and Brad Griffin and sons, Mindi and Kevin James and sons and Bryce Plummer and fiancée April Grant and Marissa and Corrine Plummer.   R.J. and Derick Mertz, Alana Lawson. His god son, Scott Millman, close family  friend Tim Messick, several aunts, uncles and cousins.

    Funeral Services will be held Friday, August 24, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Calvary U.M. Church, 301 S.E. Front St., Milford, where friends may call after 12:00 noon. Interment will be held at Milford Community Cemetery, Milford.
