  • Two Milford men are each facing dozens of criminal charges after being arrested Friday in connection with a pair of residential burglaries in which they allegedly stole guns, electronics and jewelry.
According to police, 23-year-old Ryan A. Doneker and 24-year-old Gary P. Gray burglarized a home in the 500 block of Church Hill Road in Milford on Aug. 5 and a home in the 2100 block of Front Street in Houston on Aug. 7.
Delaware State Police spokesman Sgt. Paul Shavack said detectives were able to connect Doneker to the burglaries.
Troopers also learned that Doneker was staying in Room 101 at the Super 8 Motel in the 700 block of Bay Road, north of Milford.
Doneker attempted to run away when troopers arrived at the motel Friday. Following a brief foot chase, he was apprehended after an officer used a stun gun to subdue him, Shavack said.
Police found Gray in the hotel room and he was taken into custody without incident, police said.
Troopers later recovered property in the hotel room that linked both men to the burglaries, according to Shavack.
Doneker and Gray each are charged with multiple counts of burglary, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, theft of a firearm, possession of burglary tools, theft over $1,500, second-degree conspiracy and criminal mischief.
Doneker also is charged with multiple counts of possession of a firearm by a person prohibited and a single count of resisting arrest.
As of Saturday, Doneker was being held at the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center in Smyrna on a $76,700 secured bond.
Gray was being held at the same facility on a $68,600 secured bond.
