  • Marie Walls Webb of Milford, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Monday, July 9, 2012 at her home.  She was 89.


    Marie was born on September 11, 1922 in Milford where she was raised and lived her entire life.  She was the daughter of the late Harry T. and Rosa Walls.

  • Marie Walls Webb of Milford, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Monday, July 9, 2012 at her home.  She was 89.
    Marie was born on September 11, 1922 in Milford where she was raised and lived her entire life.  She was the daughter of the late Harry T. and Rosa Walls.
    She retired from the Milford School District working in several different Departments over the years, the last being the Milford High School Library.
    Mrs. Webb spent 81 years serving her beloved Savior as a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church in Milford, where she was a devoted Sunday school teacher, member and former President of the United Methodist Women and served on the Official Board for many years.
    She will always be remembered as a loving, caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, neighbor and friend.
    Marie's family would like to extend their sincere thanks to her caregivers from Compassionate Care Hospice.
    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings; Kenneth, Earl, Harry, Norman, Delema and Ruth.
    She is survived by her beloved husband of over 70 years, Otis G. Webb; two daughters, Gaye W. Morgan and her husband, Calvert of Greenville and Jana M. Hood and her husband, Vernon of Harrington; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
    A celebration of Marie's life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 12, 2012 at the Calvary United Methodist Church, 301 S.E. Front St, Milford, where friends may call after 11:30 a.m.
    Burial will follow the service in the Milford Community Cemetery on N. Walnut Street.
    In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions to the Calvary United Methodist Church, 301 S.E. Front St, Milford, DE, 19963.
