A 25-year-old man wanted in connection with a mugging in Milford last week has been arrested in Maryland.

Rollie D. Williams of Hurlock, Md. was arrested in Preston, Md. and extradited to Milford on Wednesday, according to Milford police.

Williams is accused of mugging an 89-year-old woman in the parking lot of the Milford Wal-Mart at 939 N. Dupont Highway on June 20.

According to police, 20-year-old Preston, Md. resident Ariel M. Robbins drove Williams around the parking lot in search of victims.

When they spotted the 89-year-old woman, Williams got out of Robbins’ Toyota Camry and grabbed the woman’s arm before forcing her wallet out of her hand.

Williams then ran back to Robbins’ car and the pair drove away with an undisclosed amount of cash and other items.

Robbins was arrested June 21 and charged with first-degree robbery, second-degree conspiracy and offensive touching. She was later released on an $11,500 unsecured bond, police said.

Following his extradition to Milford on Wednesday, Williams also was charged with first-degree robbery, second-degree conspiracy and offensive touching. He is being held at the Sussex Correctional Institution in Georgetown in default of an $11,250 secured bond.
