A Maryland woman has been arrested in the mugging of an 89-year-old outside the Milford Wal-Mart on Wednesday, but her partner remains at large, according to police.

Ariel M. Robbins, a 20-year-old resident of Preston, Md., was arrested Thursday.

Detective Dwight Young of the Milford Police Department said Robbins acted as the getaway driver for Rollie D. Williams, a 25-year-old resident of Hurlock, Md., following the mugging in the Wal-Mart parking lot at 939 N. Dupont Highway about 11 a.m. Wednesday.

Young said the two Maryland residents circled the parking lot in Robbins’ Toyota Camry in search of victims until they spotted the 89-year-old woman leaving the store.

Williams then got out of the car and grabbed the woman’s arm before forcing her wallet out of her hand, Young said.

Williams then ran back to Robbins’ car and the duo drove away with an undisclosed amount of cash and other items, police said.

Robbins is charged with first-degree robbery, second-degree conspiracy and offensive touching.

She was arraigned and released on an $11,500 unsecured bond, police said.

Williams is wanted on similar charges, police said.

He is described as being about 5’9”, between 160 and 170 pounds with dreadlocks. Police said he is known to frequent Milford and Harrington, as well as Federalsburg and Hurlock, Md.

Anyone with information about Williams whereabouts is asked to contact Milford police by calling (302) 422-8081 or Crime Stoppers at (800) TIP-3333.
