Milford Housing Development Corporation receives 2012 ENERGY STAR Award for Excellence

The Milford Housing Development Corporation received a national 2012 ENERGY STAR Award for Excellence from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency this month in recognition of its energy-efficient housing for low-income residents.

The 35-year-old nonprofit is among only 14 recipients of the award nationwide and the only business or organization in Delaware to be recognized.

Beth Craig, director of the EPA’s climate protection partnership division, presented the award to MHDC President/CEO David Moore at an official ceremony in Washington D.C. on March 15.

MHDC has been an ENERGY STAR partner since 2007 and previously received regional awards in 2009 and 2010.
