Take a walk along the beach in search of the elusive crustaceans of the night, the ghost crab, every Friday through Aug. 20.

Take a walk along the beach in search of the elusive crustaceans of the night, the ghost crab. Bring a flashlight to assist you in spotting them as they scurry from side to side over the sand on the beach in search of their evening meal. Ghost Crabs are typically nocturnal and spend most of their life on land, though they are quite comfortable in the surf zone. Join park naturalists in the search every Friday night, June 24–August 20 from 8:30 p.m. to 9:45 p.m. Participants are encouraged to dress for the weather of the evening. The fee for this program is $1 per participant.
